Question 1

What is the typical delivery time for Thanks.io mail?

Accepted Answer

First Class postage typically arrives in 5–10 business days from the print date. Standard postage (the lower-cost option) typically arrives in 10–20 business days. These are estimates — actual transit varies by destination, USPS conditions, and season. Thanks.io does not guarantee specific delivery dates.

Question 2

When does Thanks.io process and print my order?

Accepted Answer

Orders placed before 11am Central time are processed and printed that same business day. Orders placed after 11am Central are processed the next business day. Orders placed after 11am on Friday or on weekends are not printed until Monday morning. Average processing time during regular business hours is approximately 24 hours. After USPS picks up, delivery begins from Thanks.io's print facility in Texas.

Question 3

What is the difference between Standard and First Class postage?

Accepted Answer

Standard postage is the lower-cost option, typically delivers in 10–20 business days, and does not include USPS tracking or return-to-sender service. First Class postage costs a few cents more per piece, delivers in the First Class mail stream (typically 5–10 business days), includes USPS delivery tracking, and returns undeliverable pieces to your return address. Both options include postage in the per-piece price.

Question 4

Does Thanks.io offer USPS tracking?

Accepted Answer

Individual piece-level USPS tracking is available with First Class postage only — not Standard postage. For real-time engagement tracking regardless of postage class, use Thanks.io's built-in QR codes: every scan is logged with recipient details, timestamp, and location in real time.

Question 5

Does Thanks.io support international delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Thanks.io supports international delivery for postcards, single-page letters, notecards, and MagnaCards. Gift cards and multi-page letters are US-only. International sends use the equivalent of First Class postage — Standard is not available for international recipients. Delivery times vary by country. Some countries are not currently supported due to USPS restrictions. See the postage FAQ at help.thanks.io for the current exclusion list.

Question 6

What happens if my mail piece is undeliverable?

Accepted Answer

With First Class postage, undeliverable pieces are returned to your return address, allowing you to clean your mailing list. With Standard postage, undeliverable pieces are discarded by USPS and not returned. For list hygiene and time-sensitive mail, First Class is recommended.
